Our Laser

Our office has a Candela GentleMax Laser. This unique laser combines both the GentleLase and the Gentle Yag Laser which enables us to treat a wide variety of skin types. The GentleLase is the premiere treatment for unwanted hair, pigmentation, and wrinkles. The Gentle Yag is the fastest and most powerful system on the market that is able to treat all skin types including tanned skin.
How the Laser Works

The laser creates a beam of high-intensity light that penetrates deeply into skin tissue, where it delivers a controlled amount of targeted therapeutic heat.
Does it Hurt?

Some patients may feel a slight discomfort, sometimes described like the snapping of a rubber band on the skin.
This discomfort resolves quickly and is minimized by the burst of cooling spray.
How many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments needed is different for each individual but these are the average numbers.

* Hair Removal – 4-6 treatments
* Pigmentation – 1-3 treatments
* Skin Tightening – 3-4 treatments
* Veins – 1-3 treatments

Before the Treatment

* Avoid plucking, electrolysis, or hair waxing for six weeks prior to the treatment.
* Avoid tanning two weeks prior to treatment.
* All lotions, make-up, deodorant, and self tanners must be removed.
* Skin should be clean shaven, and thoroughly cleansed and dried before treatment.

After the Treatment

* Avoid sun exposure for at least a week depending on the treatment.
* Do not use abrasive skin cleansers for at least two days.
* ALWAYS wear sunscreen (SPF 30 or above)! This will ensure that you get the maximum benefits out of your treatments.
